The elegant Marrick room at The Burgoyne is named after the local village of Marrick. The village lies just east of Reeth off the ‘old’ Richmond road, high up on a south-facing bank, with wonderful views across Lower Swaledale. Marrick was once a lead mining village dating back to the 18th century, now a farming hamlet.
The room is beautifully furnished with great attention to detail, the high ceiling is one of the rooms original features. Marrick has recently undergone a full refurbishment with a stunning en-suite and new decor, in keeping with the traditional style of the room.
If you don’t want to travel very far for something to eat or for a quick drink, guests are very welcome at the 1783 Bar & Restaurant, The Burgoyne’s new and exciting dining destination. If you’re looking for a quick snack, guests can order bar snacks and lunches while having a drink or two in our new bar.
